Yesterday at church I gave Sadie a clipboard with some paper and a pen to keep her busy.
First she wrote her name:

Then she leaned over and asked me how to spell Sidney, a short time later she proudly showed me the "letter she made for Sidney."
("Sidney I love you")

Next she wanted to know how to spell Savana, and then how to spell Debbie.
("I Love Savana" - "Debbie I love you")

After that came "Mom, how do you spell Cannon?" As I told her... Dan and I both wondered if she was going to make Jason a letter too. For those of you that don't know, for about the last 2 years, in Sadie's eyes Jason has pretty much been the scariest person she knows.
It's kinda funny, and no one is quite sure why. For example: Easter 2007 she refused to take a picture with a tall Easter Bunny that terrified her, and she later confessed to grandma that she thought "it might be Jason inside there."
After her letter for Cannon, we were pleasantly surprised when she leaned over and asked how to spell Jason. Yea! Just maybe she is deciding that Jason is an okay guy after all.
At least we know she loves him!
I LOVE that my kids best friends are their cousins. I love each of my nieces and nephews so much it brings tears to my eyes!
("Cannon I love you" - "Jason I love you")

Your kids are so smart, Pam.
By the way... not all the comments that say "Cindy Smith said..." are from me, apparently Sierra got on after me and I forgot to log out. If you see more than three exclamation points in a row, it is probably written by Sierra :)
