Thanksgiving / Gratitude (by: Pam)

Thanksgiving 2008 was a fun day full of family and food.
The festive part of Thanksgiving is easy for me to blog about.
We got up Thanksgiving morning, Dan made extra yummy crepes for breakfast.
(Something he is getting really good at I must add.)
After breakfast we all made some fun after dinner pilgrim hat treats out out mini peanut butter cups, cookies, and mini M&M's.
I made cornbread, then we  headed to the Jensens for a super yummy dinner.
(With the pumpkin pie left behind in the fridge, Opps!
Oh well, grandma Jensens pumpkin pie was better anyway.)
Ben, and Lori weren't able to make it down from Idaho and we missed seeing them, but everyone else was there. After Dinner we talked, did crafts, watched a movie, and got out some Christmas decorations Grandma and Grandpa Jensen graciously shared with us.
That evening we returned home the perfect amount of tired/full/and happy.

The part of Thanksgiving that is not so easy for me to blog about, is the spirit of the holiday.
I get all choked up and my words get all jumbly when I think about my life and the millions of things I have to be grateful for. Especially this year!
We decided as a family that all prayers we offered this week would be only prayers of gratitude. Let me tell ya, it's harder then I thought it would be. Its hard not to ask for blessings, like daily protection for Dan while commuting, health, safety and so many other things that bless our lives.  But it's been so awesome to really focus on the abundance of blessings we receive daily.

I hope you all had an awesome Thanksgiving!

Even though we totally missed your family, I'm so glad that you had such a great time with the Jensen's. Great quote by the way!
