Brothers Day Out (by Dan)

This weekend my brother Ben and I decided to take a break and head out to see a family historical site in Idaho. My Great Great Grandpa built a house in Chesterfield Idaho and if you haven't heard of Chesterfield, well I don't know what rock you've been hiding under, but at one time this teaming metropolis claimed home to over 800 people. It's now a ghost town and a historical site along the Oregon Trail. It was a lot of fun to see and I had a great time hanging out with Ben. I am attaching a few of the photos that I took and am liking so far, enjoy.

The Denmark Jensen Cabin

A small waterfall near Lava Hot Springs

I like how the farmer just plows his fields right around this old cabin.

An old fence by the Chesterfield Visitors Center

The Blacksmith sign just looked great I thought.

What great photos, did you take those yourself? Love the waterfall, I kinda have a thing for waterfalls...
Hi Cindy,
Yes I did take these photos, I'm glad you like them. I love waterfalls too, this one was about 7 feet tall so nothing huge, but it was fun to see and photograph just the same. Photography is a hobby of mine, although I am far from mastering it. I updated the post to be more clear.

Technically speaking I think it was our Great Grandpa, not Great Great right? Regardless it was a party and we need to do it again sooner rather than later.

I am so jealous of all of my family who have gotten to visit Chesterfield. I still haven't--but maybe one day. Idaho is a long ways from Arkansas!
