Twilight - Stuck on Book Two (by Pam)

So, Dan started the Twilight series and after book one, said it was interesting and I should give it a try. So I started book one.
While I finished the first Twilight book, Dan made it through the Twilight series, re-read all 7 of the Chronicles of Narnia books, and I'm not sure what he's moved onto next.
Meanwhile, here I am trying to maintain enough interest in Bella and Jacob restoring dirt bikes to continue getting into book two.

Keep Reading...it will get better. Book 2 is slow for everyone. The author says she really wanted people to get a sense for who Jacob is, but all most people can think about is..."Okay, Edward can reappear any time now!!!"

I hadn't even gotten to the part with Jacob yet and I stopped reading, not because it was boring really, it's probably because it's spring now and I'd rather go play... Book one was fast for me too though -- I read it in the winter...
I disagree with Debbie.....it DID NOT get better for me....but I pushed through it. Skip the boring parts......skim through them......the junk of the book is at the end and worth reading. THAT BEING SAID......I LOVED LOVED LOVED books 3 and 4 and was VERY sad when I was done - ESPECIALLY with book 4....push through 2 and ENJOY 3 and 4!!!
Book 2 was definitely the worst on the 4. I will say that it did get a lot better towards the end finally. But I still never really cared for Jacob Black in the entire series, he was really, really annoying. The best part about book 5 would have been that Jacob is finally in a position to be interesting. I wish book 5 wasn't shelved for good, that would have been a fun read I bet.

I didn't like the 2nd book very much it felt like all she did was re-write it but instead of vampires she's hanging with werewolves...the end is pretty good...but yeah not my favorite of the series...though she is writing the first book over only this time from Edwards point of view.
