7 Simple things that make my Soul Smile (by Pam)

I love this quote:
"Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to waste a lot of time running around shouting that he has been robbed. The fact is that most putts don’t drop, most beef is tough, most children grow up to be just like people, most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration, and most jobs are more often dull than otherwise. Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride."
Gordon B. Hinckley

It inspires me to find more gratitude and pleasure in small, simple, every day blessings, and to try to whine less.

7 simple things that make my soul smile

1) Opening the dryer to fold the clothes and remembering that it’s a towel load.

2) The sight, smell, and feel of green grass

3) The smell of a freshly mopped floor

4) The mornings when you look in the mirror and something about your hair and face are just working nicely that day.

5) Listening to kids laugh

6) Finding the kitchen garbage emptied

7) Finding a dropped contact Lens

I loved this post, that quote is one of my faves too. And I totally understand the dryer thing, in fact you reminded me that I have a towel load in there right now -- yay!!

I'm completely with you on the towel load! I just folded mine and now I am stuck with a white load. Yuck.
