We've intended to pour concrete next to our house
When we decided to list the home for sale
this plan was delayed
This past weekend
Dan:
rented a dump truck
bought 9 tons of gravel
and finished the side yard

Toby & Sadie & Ella (Sadie's friend)
LOVED riding in the dump truck
Toby helped spread the gravel
So did 4 year old Joshua (Ella's Brother)
It looks awesome!

Monday afternoon
(3 days after the gravel was finished)
a neighbor knocks on the front door
water is spilling out
running under the fence
and
down the gutter
I called Dan
I find the cut off valve
(and SPIDERS!)
but...
I cant get it to move
Dan leaves work and comes home
his Dad comes to help
Dan gets the water to stop
digs up a portion of the new gravel
finds the break in the irrigation pipe

Phone rings...
Realtor...Someone is coming to look at the house
IN ONE HOUR!
(Figures! Our last showing was right after getting home from the hospital post C-section.)
Dan and Rex go into Warp Speed outside
I go into Warp Speed inside
We got out of there just as the realtor pulls in
(45 minutes later)
with NO signs left of the huge puddle
or
the dug up yard
(Thanks to Grandpa Jensen!)
Whew!
All is well again
now
if only they make an offer
Post Script: It was the dump truck that severed the irrigation line.

I'm very impressed. I don't think I could pull that off. :)
